Knowsley Hall, Lancashire

A commission for the Earl & Countess of Derby

This commission was for an anniversary present. A personal project to create something that would be enjoyed by the family and future generations.

The house is magnificent and was a wonderful source of inspiration such as the patterns found within the tables, china, rugs and walls - often including the family initials. The inspiration for the overall designs came from classical Italian architecture and plasterwork.

We loved this project with the personal flourishes, gorgeous shells, large scale of the panels and the Chappell Green paint colour from Farrow & Ball which sets off the shells beautifully.
